WE HAVE THE SOLUTIONS YOU NEED FOR IMPROVING READING AND WRITING... HERE!
SERVICES
Wherever you are in the journey of helping yourself or your child with struggles in reading, spelling and writing -
we'd love the opportunity to work with you to find solutions.
REMEDIATION
Remediation is more than momentary tutoring or help with homework - it's a systematic process of teaching reading and spelling from the ground up to close gaps and strengthen skills in phonemic awareness, decoding, comprehension, fluency, spelling and writing composition. Research shows that Multi-sensory Structured Language Instruction (Orton-Gillingham) is the most effective way to improve reading and spelling, and that starting as early as possible is critical. We offer...
-
Barton Reading and Spelling as primary curriculum, or use of tailored Orton-GIllingham, and reference to intervention at school with use of Phonics First or Spire.
-
Intensive therapy - 2x week for 60 minutes each, at a minimum, for success.
-
Continuous sessions all year, including summers, with opportunities for extra sessions offered.
-
A network of skilled, vetted tutors experienced with dyslexia and reading instruction.
-
Other materials used as needed including Equipped for Reading Success (advanced phonological sklls), Foundations in Sound, IEW Writing, Handwriting without Tears, ReadWorks, Quizlet and more.
-
Remote tutoring via computer if distance, safety, or schedule preclude in-person sessions.
-
Monthly reports, regular progress monitoring
